Step 1. Apply
- Suitable applicants will be invited to complete our application form fully and to email it to careers@firstbridge.school
Step 2. If shortlisted, you will attend an assessment and interview day
- Professional references are sought, and online searches are carried out, for all shortlisted candidates.
- You will be required to attend an interview day, which will include an assessment or the teaching of a lesson (depending on the role applied for).
- The fully-completed self-disclosure form must be downloaded, completed and brought with you in an envelope to your interview.
Step 3. Recruitment checks
- If successful, pre-employment checks are carried out, including an enhanced DBS check.

- Our vacancies are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
- We comply with the DBS code of practice. As such, having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us; the nature of the position and the circumstances and context of your offences will be considered.

- We only employ qualified teachers who have completed their ECT induction years.
- We are unable to facilitate training placements and do not make use of temporary, agency or voluntary staff.
