The recruitment process

Share your interest

  • We always welcome interest from great teachers and therapists, even if we don't have active vacancies.

Step 1. Apply

Step 2. If shortlisted, you will attend an assessment and interview day

  • Professional references are sought, and online searches are carried out, for all shortlisted candidates.
  • You will be required to attend an interview day, which will include an assessment or the teaching of a lesson (depending on the role applied for). 
  • The fully-completed self-disclosure form must be downloaded, completed and brought with you in an envelope to your interview.

Step 3. Recruitment checks

  • If successful, pre-employment checks are carried out, including an enhanced DBS check.

  • We expect everybody to share our commitment to safeguarding.
  • Our vacancies are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
  • We comply with the DBS code of practice. As such, having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us; the nature of the position and the circumstances and context of your offences will be considered. 

Notes on our roles

  • We only employ qualified teachers who have completed their ECT induction years. 
  • We are unable to facilitate training placements and do not make use of temporary, agency or voluntary staff.
